1977 FaceBook page & quickie contest

I've put up a FaceBook fan page for 1977. View it by clicking here!

I have started a quickie contest there. I'm asking for photographs or screen captures that have 1977 in it. Like prices on Amazon, or on parking meters... etc. Go the FaceBook page for more details!

1977 the Comic Volume 1 Pre-Sale!

Yes, things are moving along and I have the first set of comics for Volume 1 ready to go to the printers. So I wanted to put them up for pre-sale so you can cash in on a pre-sale offer: Free Shipping in the USA!! The first volume will cost $19.77.

Here’s some details: It will be in Black & White, or technically gray-scale. Color is just too expensive at the moment (like four-times the cost). The book will feature the FIRST 114 comics. 114? Well, that takes you from January 2nd, 2008, the fi… Continue

TGT Webcomics Interview Sunday!

Set your clocks for 10:00pm EST Sunday March 1st and head on over to http://tgtwebcomics.com/podcast/1977/ to join in on the fun as I'll be the guest on their podcast Sunday evening.

I am not a boring person and I will chat about anything. Of course I'll cover 1977 and how I got it going and that stuff, but I'm sure I'll sneak in more than one of my old band/drunk stories too.

Come on by and stay a spell, ya hear? :)

New 1977 On-Line Store!

I've set up an on-line store over at PrintFection.com and they've done a great job making it look like the comic's website! I've just started to upload images that can be added to products (like t-shirts, tote bags, mousepads, etc.). The really cool thing is I can upload anything related to 1977 and have products made on demand. I stock nothing and make a commission on each sale. I think it's a good idea thus far and the sample they sent me was well done and arrived in quick order.

If you're in… Continue

1977 Beach Desktop Ready!

I created another desktop that's over at the 1977 website. I did a comic that featured a 1967 Firebird 400 convertible in it and a few folks asked for a desktop of it. Well, being a convertible, I tossed the 1977 gang into their swimsuits and put them at the beach. The results kinda cool, if I say so myself (and I just did).

Here's the URL to the Desktop page:

Enjoy!

Hi Byron, its Byron. :)
Not too many of us around. Thanks for the add, and the comment too. I checked out your site and you have some good stuff there. I used to love quantum leap, but when he jumped into the body of a chimp, it was never the same.

Hey Thanks! I appreciate it. Quick question for you- I was looking at creating wallpapers so I could put them on my site and I noticed that you've done that sort of thing. What is the best way to do these? Make the biggest wallpaper size first and then shrink them down to the other specs after that? I just want to make sure I don't back myself into a corner and then have to do a lot of extra work. Thanks!
